Inter Miami conquer DC United 3-1 even without strengthening Lionel Messi. Luis Suarez be the star of victory Vice City with two goals.

Fourth week Major League Soccer (MLS) opened with the DC United vs Inter Miami duel. The match took place at Audi Field, Sunday (17/3/2024) early morning WIB.

Inter Miami star, Lionel Messi, missed this match due to injury. DC United took a 1-0 lead in the 13th minute through Jared Stroud’s shot.

The visitors equalized in the 23rd minute. Leonardo Campana’s shot in the penalty box successfully beat DC United goalkeeper Alex Bono. The score 1-1 was the final result of the first half.

Inter Miami introduced Luis Suarez in the second half to increase their attacking power. The decision paid off in the 71st minute.

Suarez successfully broke through DC United with a tap-in shot in front of goal, maximizing Leonardo Campana’s flat pass. Inter Miami went back to winning 2-1.

DC United became increasingly difficult after their defender, Pedro Santos, received a red card in the 90th minute. The score 3-1 for Inter Miami was the final result of the match.

This victory made Inter Miami move to the top of the MLS standings with 10 points. DC United is stuck in seventh place with 5 points.
