Millonarios and Deportivo Cali could not go beyond a draw this Saturday in the old Colombian classic that was played in El Campín. It was a 1-1 where the goals were from Daniel Cataño and Jefferson Díaz.
In the first half, Cali would have the first approach of the game with Juan José Córdoba who took a left foot shot that went well off the Embajador goal. Ten minutes later, the visit had the clearest in this half. Francisco Meza lowered it to Juan Manuel Valencia who took a header that Diego Novoa saved in a great way.
Until the 37th minute, one of Millonarios’ first clear chances came. Jhoan Hernández tried a left-footed shot and instead passed to Santiago Giordana who took a shot from close range inside the area that was saved by Santiago Rodríguez.
Within a minute, Cali responded with Córdoba who finished off Novoa’s body that had been greatly reduced previously. The last of this part was from Millonarios with Emerson Rivaldo Rodríguez who took out a rival and sent a right hand that was stopped by the rival goalkeeper.
