Luca Cordero di Montezemolo would have lost 50 million euros in a bad investment. This is what was reported by Gotham City, which specializes in articles on economic crime. The former president of Ferrari, through his assistant, clarified to the newspaper The Republic that the 50 million quoted by the Swiss portal do not represent the loss, which would be lower, but rather the amount requested by the entrepreneur and his family, as compensation for the damages suffered. Montezemolo thus denounced two Italian financial consultants, operating from Switzerland: Federico Faleschini and Daniele Migani. The first owner of Logic Holding, with offices in the canton of Zug, the second of the London-based Xy UK, as well as another company, Twinkle Capital, also based in Zug. A case is ongoing at the England and Wales High Court in London.
His son Matteo’s company
In 2016, Gi Globinvestment Limited, a financial vehicle managed by Matteo Cordero di Montezemolo, son of Luca, based in the British capital, decided to invest in the Luxembourg fund Skew Base Fund. What led to the complaint is not that the investment proved to be a failure over time, but rather that Faleschini and Migani, who presented themselves as independent consultants, had actually participated in the establishment of the Skew Base Fund itself, which they had also advised to other clients. English judge Sara Cockerill confirmed the prosecution’s approach. While in Switzerland a criminal investigation established that both Faleschini and Migani were responsible for “alleged criminal behavior”.
