President Joko Widodo enjoyed Wednesday morning, May 1 2024 by cycling in Mataram City, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Province. At around 06.15 WITA, President Jokowi left the hotel where he was staying overnight riding his bamboo bicycle.

A number of people were seen greeting President Jokowi from the moment he left the front of the hotel. The President and his entourage then crossed Jalan Jenderal Sudirman, Jalan Jalan Bung Hatta, and returned to Jalan Jenderal Sudirman to the hotel where he spent the night.

“Mr Jokowi, Mr Jokowi!” greeted the residents when President Jokowi passed in front of them.

After cycling for about 30 minutes, President Jokowi returned to the hotel where he spent the night in NTB by cycling. However, before entering the hotel, President Jokowi took the time to greet and take selfies with the people who were waiting around the hotel.

One of them, Wati, a resident who also sells around the hotel, admitted that she did not expect to meet and take a selfie with the President. Wati said that she had been waiting for President Jokowi to arrive since yesterday morning.

“I was touched, I was there crying when I saw you, I didn’t know I couldn’t say anything, just happy, excited, moved,” said Wati.

Likewise, Fauzi, other residents were also very happy to be able to meet President Jokowi. According to Fauzi, this moment was an unforgettable opportunity and experience.

“Wow, I kept shouting so I could meet Mr. Jokowi. Actually, my brother also (screamed), but I, who was called his aide, was given a greeting, thank God, thank you, Mr. Jokowi,” said Fauzi.
