The Brooklyn rabbi saved the lives of several Afghans by helping them get out of Kabul. Moshe Margaretten, 41, now considered something of a Oskar Schindler (the German who saved numerous Jews from concentration camps which Steven Spielberg dedicated an Oscar-winning film) of the many Afghans he helped leave the country, he actually had no connection to that area of the world until he was contacted, last August, by an Afghan Jewish carpet dealer named Zablon Simintov.
