Musician Steve Harley has died
Steve Harley (73), the singer of Cockney Rebel, has died of cancer.
The singer was on tour until January this year but was forced to cancel dates last month after being diagnosed with cancer.
He “died peacefully” at home in Suffolk on Sunday morning with his family by his side, according to his daughter Greta. It writes The Independent.
His most famous song was “Make Me Smile (Come Up and See Me)”, which went to number 1 in February 1975. The song was the first single released under the name “Steve Harley and Cockney Rebel”, as opposed to just ” Cockney Rebel”.
