In a six-goal game, Napoli, the current champion, defeated Monza 4-2, away from home, this Sunday (07). The Neapolitan goals were scored by Oshimen, Napolitano, Zielinski and Raspadori, while Duric and Colpani scored for the home team.
With assistance from Zerbin, Djuric opened the scoring in the ninth minute, making it 1-0 for Monza, a score that remained until the break. However, Napoli came back overwhelming in the second half, with Ngonge having a goal disallowed in the fourth minute. But it wasn’t necessary. After all, Osimhen equalized shortly after, Politano turned the ball around at 12 and Zielinski doubled at 16. Colpani scored in the next minute, but Raspadori, with his first touch of the ball, scored final numbers at 23. A “rain of goals” in just a few minutes.
Napoli still in the fight for a Champions League spot
With the result, Napoli moved up to seventh place, now with 48 points. Therefore, the Neapolitans still dream of a place in the G4, but it is not easy. After all, the last team in the G4 is Bologna, with ten more points and the same number of matches. The top three are Internazionale (79), Milan (68) and Juventus (59). The runner-up has already played in the round.
Between Bologna and Napoli, Roma and Ataltanta appear, with 55 and 50 points, respectively. Loba has already played in the round, but Dea has only 29 games. Monza, in turn, is only 11th, with 42 points. This way, the Lombardy team has a remote chance of falling, but also of a place in the European competition.
Next Sunday (14), Napoli will host Frosinone, at 2pm (Brasília time), at 7:30am. The day before, Monza will visit Bologna, at 3:45 pm, in the same time zone.
