Today’s selected starting eleven got off to a rather slow start and were unable to leave their mark on the match. This resulted in Viking 2 scoring their first goal of the day after 23 minutes, it takes barely three more minutes before they have doubled their lead. We are still struggling to get a grip on the game and go into the break with a score of 2-0 to the home team.
We make two substitutions at half-time, Mikael Ugland comes in for André Richstad and Lars Markmanrud comes in for Sivert Strangstad.
In the second half, we play more into the game and get more good shooting opportunities. In the last twenty minutes, practically all of the court play takes place in their half of the court. There are nice combinations in the field and scary corner variations. Viking 2’s keeper has a good day at work and prevents several dangerous goal chances and we thus go home without a point.
