In an incident in which two burnt bodies were found on a riverbed in Nasu Town, Tochigi Prefecture, an interview with investigators revealed on the 18th that the deceased woman had multiple marks near her face that looked like she had been beaten. Prefectural police suspect that the perpetrator may have attacked the women with strong murderous intent or a grudge, and are investigating whether the suspects had any trouble and their friendships.
One is Ryutaro Takarajima (55), whose address and occupation are unknown, and the other is a woman between the ages of 40 and 60. An autopsy conducted on the 17th revealed that Takarajima died of asphyxiation due to neck compression, and the woman died of asphyxiation due to head trauma and neck compression. All died within a few days.
The incident was discovered on the morning of the 16th. A man in his 20s, who is believed to have knowledge of the incident, turned himself in at a police station in Tokyo for a voluntary interview.
