National Education Day Moment: Telkom University Surabaya Outstanding Students and Lecturers Harvest Awards

INDEPENDENT VOICE SURABAYA – The commemoration of National Education Day (Hardiknas) 2024 was used by Telkom University Surabaya as an event to give awards to outstanding students and lecturers in the field of education.

Director of Telkom University Surabaya, Prof Dr Tri Arief Sardjono ST MT said that his party gave 19 awards.

These included 28 students, lecturers and staff who were considered to have achieved both academic and non-academic achievements, and contributed positively to the campus environment.

The award was handed over after the 2024 National Education Day ceremony which was held at the Main Field of the Telkom University Surabaya Campus, Thursday, May 2 2024.

Prof. Tri explained that the 19 awards consisted of five awards for outstanding students at national and international level to 11 students, and six awards for promotion of functional academic positions from lecturers to lecturers and associate professors to six lecturers.

Furthermore, five lecturers who completed their doctoral study period for one year (starting from May 2023-May 2024) were awarded to five lecturers.

Then, three other awards were handed over to six Telkom University Surabaya academics in order to increase institutional capacity.

Namely, in the categories of TUNC data migration assistance, operational optimization of business services, and increasing external grant capacity.

“The students have shown brilliant achievements in the fields of academics, leadership and community service, so they deserve recognition for their dedication and hard work,” said Prof Tri.

“The lecturers have completed their doctoral degrees and returned to campus to continue their service,” he continued.

At the 2024 National Education Day, Prof. Tri gave a message about the importance of education in producing a superior generation.
