In the morning three people left the café. The public broadcaster NOS reported that there were three young people who were wearing the café’s uniform. The police reported on X that the situation was “not over yet”. According to NOS, it was initially unclear whether these people were hostages. They were “visibly excited”; Special police forces would take care of them. The police called on people to avoid the center of the city, which is not far from Arnhem in the province of Gelderland. Train services in the affected area were suspended.
