Te Ashi Island

by Luigi Rinaldi

Fiction – Short novel

Necklace curated by Caterina Franciosi

A mysterious and cursed island. A group of kids who make a pact to conquer her.

After the end of the Second World War, the dark fame of a small cursed island in front of the port, Te Ashi Island, disturbs the quiet life of a fishing village.

During an exploration game, on the top of a hill overlooking the sea, four boys make an exceptional discovery. Shir, the leader of the group, intends to use the objects found to dispel the mystery of Te Ashi island once and for all and thus free the village from the terror that surrounds it. But on the island there is something that, perhaps, is not really part of the human kingdom, something dark and terrible and which reacts strongly to the boys’ intentions.

The story thus develops over time and the showdown will perhaps only occur in our days.

The long story is inspired by the famous legend of Momotar, the peach boy.
