“River Trip into Death” as the start of eight new episodes with Rainer Hunold
Vienna (OTS) – An unbeatable team – “The Public Prosecutor” Bernd Reuther (Rainer Hunold), Chief Inspector Julia Schröder (Anika Baumann) and Chief Inspector Alexander Witte (Jannik Mioducki) – will be investigating again on ORF 2 from February 16, 2024: In the first of eight new episodes of the 19th season of the ZDF/ORF crime series with the title “River Journey into Death”, an old crime has to be reopened in Wiesbaden and a current murder case has to be solved at the same time.

Ralf Krug (Matthias van den Berg) was convicted of murdering the shipping company owner Diana Schroth – and acquitted again. He is released again because a witness lied in her statement. When Diana’s husband was found murdered a few weeks later, Krug was one of the first suspects. Especially since the crime shows explosive parallels to the still unsolved murder of Diana. However, Krug can provide a credible alibi – and soon there are increasing signs that the key to solving the two cases could lie in the parties that have been being held on the ship for some time.
