Jim Schwartz ha vinto nettamente nella sua categoria con 25 primi posti contro gli 11 di Mike McDonald arrivato secondo. Addirittura pareggio tra Stefanski e Ryans per miglior coach 165 pari e l’HC dei Browns vince per un primo posto in più. Flacco batte in volata Damar Hamlin grazie all’alto numero di secondi posti nella votazione, +11 voti per lui in totale. Vittoria semplice per McCaffrey (+90 su Tyreek Hill) e Lamar Jackson che ha addirittura ottenuto 49 primi posti su 50!
Dal 2000 ad oggi 19 MVP sono stati prima scelta al Draft, 3 un sesto giro (Tom Brady), una un quarto giro (Rich Gannon) e una non draftata (Kurt Warner). Lamar Jackosn è l’undicesimo giocatore nella storia degli Honors ad essere eletto MVP più di una volta.
Gli Houston Texans sono la quarta squadra ad avere il miglior rookie in attacco e in difesa nello stesso anno (Stroud e Anderson), le altre tre sono i Jets dell’anno scorso (Wilson, Gardners), i Saints nel 2017 (Kamara, Lattimore) e i Lions nel 1967 (Farr, Barney).
