Nicki Nicole hints at end of relationship with Featherweight

Nicki Nicole and Featherweight apparently have broken up.

At least that’s what the Argentine rapper and singer hinted at with a forceful statement she shared on social media after deleting photos of herself and the Mexican star from her Instagram account.

“Respect is a necessary part of love,” Nicole posted in an Instagram Story on Tuesday (February 13). “What is loved, is respected. What is respected, is cared for. When they don’t take care of you and there is no respect… I don’t stay there. I’m leaving from there. It is with great pain that you know that I found out in the same way as you, thank you for the love that you are sending me.”

His direct words come just one day after a video of Peso holding hands with another woman in Las Vegas during Super Bowl weekend surfaced online. Nicki Nicole’s team declined to make additional statements, beyond what the artist published on her networks. Billboard reached out to the Peso team for comment but did not receive a response at the time of this publication.

In October, Nicki Nicole joined Peso Pluma on stage at the Billboard Latin Music Awards to perform their 2023 collaboration, “Por las nochees.” The two made their red carpet debut as a couple a month later at the Latin Grammys in Spain, where they spoke with Billboard about a possible new collaboration between the two.

“We’ve gotten together in the studio, honestly, and we have a lot of chemistry there too,” Nicki Nicole said in a joint interview with Weight. “I believe that when the personal is mixed with the musical, incredible things come out. Since we love each other so much personally, and we admire each other so much musically, there is a unique chemistry in the studio. I feel like we get together to work more because we enjoy it than because ‘no, we have to make a song.'”

Most recently, the two attended the 66th Grammy Awards together on February 4, when Peso won Best Mexican Music Album (including Tejano) for Genesis. A few days later, they were also seen at a basketball game between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Denver Nuggets at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
