BERLIN – Political elections in Norway, the rich, contradictory Scandinavian ecological Petrostat. Voting is crucial for two reasons. First, because it will in a certain sense be the first elections in the world with climate and environment as the crux of the confrontation. The first theme of the clash is in fact the divergence between those who want to continue to give priority to oil in the production of national wealth, such as the conservatives now in government and apparently destined to defeat and the social democrats heirs of Jens Stoltenberg, and those who instead want to accelerate the farewell to the extraction and research of crude oil and other fossil fuels in the name of saving the climate and the environment.
