Vienna Austria meets Austria Lustenau on Friday. It is the duel between the first in the qualifying group of the Bundesliga and the last.
Lustenau still has a last spark of hope in the fight to stay in the Bundesliga. In order for it to stay that way at least until Saturday’s game between Vorarlberg rivals Altach and WAC, a home win in the Austria duel with the team from Vienna is needed on Friday (7.30 p.m.) at the start of the 30th round. The favorites want to secure first place in the qualifying group with an away win at the Bregenz ImmoAgentur Stadium.
Austria Lustenau needs victories
The Lustenauers no longer need to play big math games. Three wins are necessary and at the same time three defeats by the penultimate Altach, eight points away, where the Lustenauers still have to compete in the last round. “We have our backs to the wall and will therefore play full attack again this time, as we did in the last three games,” said Lustenau coach Andreas Heraf. Austria Vienna coach expects “very dangerous” opponents

Austria Vienna coach Michael Wimmer expected a “very dangerous” opponent despite this and also due to Vorarlberg’s starting position. “I expect a very active Lustenau team that will try everything to win this game. We have to have the same will as Lustenau,” demanded the German.
Wiener Austria four points ahead of WAC
The lead over the WAC is four points, third Blau-Weiß Linz is already seven points away. The first two teams meet in the semi-finals of the league’s European Cup play-offs, with the first team having home advantage. This is another reason why only a win counts for the Viennese in Vorarlberg. “The goal is for us to win the qualifying group. For this it is important that we get three points on Friday,” emphasized Wimmer.
