A new one has arrived virtual operator in Italywith a rather funny name: it’s called Ops!and leans on the Vodafone network. Ha very aggressive prices: starting from just €2 per month for an “almost no internet” offer (500 MB), while for unlimited minutes and 20 GB of traffic (plus 50 SMS, which can’t hurt) €5 is enough. And the prices, the company promises, are forever.
As you might imagine, the speeds are limited: according to official data, the gist is: niente 5G, massimo 60 Mbps in download e 30 Mbps in upload. Translated: downloads reaching a maximum of 7.5 megabytes per second and uploads at 3.25 megabytes. It is clearly not an operator aimed at those who make massive use of internet data, but it could be more than sufficient for a large portion of the population – remember that for example viewing 4K videos on platforms like Netflix requires around 16 Mbps, or 2 megabytes per second of download speed, however YouTube goes up to 68 Mbps for content at 60 frames per second. There is certainly no shortage of competition, and we must keep in mind the activation costs, which are quite high, as we had recently seen with Feder Mobile.

All offers are “universal”, meaning they accept origin from any operator. Oops! it is an operator managed by the Neapolitan Pay Store SRL, owner of the payments platform of the same name; it is a so-called “ATR” operator, i.e Air Time Reseller“.
