According to a news from the Public Relations Department of Pakistan’s Armed Forces on June 7, rescue work for a train collision near Dharki in Sindh province is underway.
The army and paramilitary troops arrived at the incident site and launched a rescue operation. Military doctors, paramedics and ambulances have also arrived at the incident site.
Engineers also participated in the delivery of rescue supplies. The Army Special Engineering Urban Search and Rescue Team (USR) arrived at the accident site by helicopter from the northern city of Rawalpindi to speed up the rescue work.
Two helicopters from the southern city of Multan also flew to the site of the incident for the evacuation of the wounded and rapid rescue measures. The relief supplies are currently being prepared and will be sent soon.
According to the latest news from Pakistani media, the death toll from the accident has risen to 36.
