Liverpool lost 3-1 away with Palmeiras this Thursday for the second date of group F of the Copa Libertadores, in a match played at the Allianz Parque in San Pablo.

Liverpool had just drawn at home with Independiente del Valle and Palmeiras, champion of the Libertadores in 1999, 2020 and 2021 and brand new champion of the Paulista Tournament, had opened with a 1-1 away draw against San Lorenzo.

Jean-Pierre Rosso opened the account after 3 minutes. This was the goal validation process through VAR:

Argentine Aníbal Moreno tied in the fifth minute of added time in the first half.

The first half seemed eternal and Palmeiras protested a penalty for this handball by Kevin Amaro:

The score was 2-1 at 58′ after a cross that fell between Matías De los Santos and Agustín Cayetano where another Argentine, Juan Manuel López, touched it on the exit of Sebastián Lentinelly:

At 66′ Estevao increased the score after another great cross from Raphael Viega, from the same sector from which he had assisted to make it 2-1. Once again Cayetano looked hesitant in defense.
