Paramore versions Talking Heads to promote tribute album

Last year, the independent film studio A24 released a reissue of the legendary concert by Talking Heads “Stop Making Sense”collected on an album and in a film directed by Jonathan Demme in 1983, to celebrate its 40th anniversary. Now, the same studio has announced that it will release a tribute album of the same concert.

In the video that A24 has shared we see Hayley Williamssinger of Paramoreunpacking a ridiculously oversized gray suit, identical to the one he wore David Byrne in “Stop Making Sense”. In the background you can hear the first takes of the song “Burning Down the House” until, at the same time we hear Williams start with the lyrics, the text on the screen anticipates the tribute album of the concert with Paramore as the first clue.

A24 has not set a release date for the album, but has anticipated that it will consist of 16 songs from Talking Heads performed by 16 artists.
