Kristian Valen is a regular viewer when Arvid Mæland rolls across the TV screen, and is well into season two of the TV series “The Cowboy and the King”, which is now on NRK TV.
– Arvid is a role model, and a person I really value. He is more or less the contributing reason why I am making a comeback this year as Sibbe from Sandnes. He called me – out of the blue – and said that I had to redo Sibbe from Sandnes. So he is one of those I can thank because I dared. He was a driving force, four years ago, says Kristian Valen to Dalane Tidende.
He likes the TV series about Mæland.
– I am a huge fan of Arvid and what he is doing. Next to Dagsrevyen, this is the only thing I watch on Norwegian TV, says Valen, who lives in Spain on a daily basis.
And adds:
– It is wonderful to play Arvid in his own dialect. He is an artist, and I post these snippets as a tribute to him, and what he does and achieves. Arvid is king, Valen asserts, and is delighted by the enormous response.
