A new big scandal in Serbian football, but this time it’s not about a match in the senior competition! At the game Milano Stars – Budućnost Dobanovci, the coach of the domestic pioneers, Aca Milanov, physically attacked referee Petar Pantelić and punched him in the head and face! Everything happened in the match played by boys aged 2009 and younger, and it was the last minute of the match.

The coach of the home team did not like Pantelić’s decision in the 70th minute – the last one for this age of football player – award a red card to the goalkeeper. After showing two yellow cards to the net keeper, a scandal arose, during which referee Pantelić got the upper hand. He was hit several times, so the police had to react as well.

“Due to frequent objections and swearing, I excluded the goalkeeper of Milano Stars from the game. First I showed a yellow card, then a red card. Then Aca Milanov, the coach of the same team, entered the field. He got in my face and said the words ‘Why are you blushing?’, after which I was hit in the head and nose. I immediately stopped the game and waited for the police to show up and make a report,” said referee Petar Pantelić, and quoted “Sports club“.

This is not the first incident that has happened in Serbian football on the grounds of the Football Association of Belgrade at Ada Ciganlija. Just a few weeks ago, in the same match, Rada soccer players got into a physical fight with a player from Požarevac, and matches in the younger categories are often accompanied by violent reactions from coaches and parents, curses, insults, and even fights.
