INDEPENDENT VOICE OF SURABAYA – The National Awakening Party (PKB) has given a positive signal regarding the possibility of nominating Khofifah Indar Parawansa as a candidate for governor of East Java in the 2024 Governor Election (Pilgub). However, PKB emphasized that Khofifah must first register with the regional election desk team to consider their support.

The General Chair of PKB, Cak Imin, stated, “We welcome it if Khofifah registers as a candidate for governor.”

Deputy General Chair of PKB, Jazilul Fawaid, explained that although there has been no direct communication with Khofifah, PKB will open up opportunities for anyone who registers.

Regarding PKB’s chances of carrying Khofifah, Jazilul stated, “This depends on Khofifah’s ability to accept the mandate, which is one of the discussions in today’s briefing.”

He also emphasized that the relationship between PKB and Khofifah was fine. “There are no problems between Cak Imin and Khofifah. Khofifah has support from various parties,” he added.***
