In his message, he mentioned the “special relationship” between UNESCO and the church, and pointed out that “the church serves the gospel, and the gospel is the most humanized message known in history.”
The Pope said: “The messages of life, freedom and hope have inspired countless educational initiatives in every era and every place, and promoted the scientific and cultural development of the human family.”
