A 27-year-old student from Agrigento, Dario Di Nolfo, died in Lisbon, Portugal, from serious injuries sustained in the explosion that occurred due to a gas leak.
Five other people were injured in the explosion. The young man was in Portugal for Erasmus.
“In my name and in the name of the entire council, I join in the pain of my friend Roberto Di Nolfo’s family for the death of their young son Dario,” writes the mayor of Agrigento Miccichè on his Facebook page. The news of his death created great emotion in Agrigento.
Among the messages of condolence to the family, that of the folk group Val d’Akragas, of which the young man was a part, and those of the Akragas futsal and Akragas calcio sports clubs.
