Portugal e Sweden face each other this Thursday, at 4:45 pm (Brasília time), in an international friendly match on the FIFA data. The match will be held on Portuguese soil, at the D. Afonso Henriques Stadium, located in Guimarães. The game is part of the Lusitanian team’s preparation for the Euro 2024, in June. The Swedes did not qualify.
The Portuguese are coming off a 2-0 victory over Iceland in the final round of the European Championship qualifiers. The Swedish team defeated Estonia 2-1 in a friendly held in January. Interestingly, the teams faced each other in the last round of qualifying for the Euros, but both fell by the wayside.

On Sweden’s side, the spotlight is on a player known to the opponent. This is center forward Viktor Gyokeres, owner of Sporting’s number 9 shirt and the Portuguese Championship’s top scorer, with 22 goals in 25 games. According to the European press, PSG, Arsenal and Bayern Munich would be interested in having the player next season.
