Se og Hør could reveal on Tuesday this week that Princess Märtha Louise (52) and her fiancé Durek Verrett’s (49) attempt to have former Prime Minister Erna Solberg’s (63) statements removed met opposition from several experts in PR, press and law.
In its overview of which information the ready-to-marry couple wants removed or edited from Wikipedia, the world‘s largest online encyclopedia, there are many who get to review – including VG – the newspaper which has recently criticized Se og Hør’s working methods in several articles.
Gets ref: Unlucky to attack Erna
“Right”
In a VG– article published on 15 June 2022 mentions Durek’s special medallion – “Spirit Optimizer” – and the link to the article is among the rich background material that helps to form Durek’s Wikipedia pages.

Märtha and Durek are not satisfied with that case, where department director of the Consumer Protection Authority, Bente Øverli, is quoted as saying that “if someone claims that something has an effect against coronavirus, this is something we take very seriously”.
“Right. Durek said that it (Spirit Optimizer, journ.anm.) helped him heal him when he had Covid along with other things,” the couple write in their letter of complaint to Wikipedia’s legal department in the US.
Will remove Durek’s past
Inflamed racism debate
Another VG article Märtha and Durek are dealing with, also from 15 June 2022, is the case where Left-wing profile and former Minister of Culture and Equality Abid Raja (48) criticizes Durek for pulling the racism card in the debate.
CLEAR SPEECH: – It is all his statements as a shaman, among other things, about cancer and Norwegian women’s sex lives, that weaken his credibility, Abid told VG. Photo: Espen Solli Show more
The background was a live broadcast Märtha and Durek held on Instagram shortly after they got engaged in June 2022, where Durek stated the following:
– Firstly, they don’t want a black man in the royal family. There have never been any blacks in the history of the European royal family, so it’s a very big deal.
This is how the wedding will be
Not happy with the opinions
Among others, Abid Raja reacted strongly to this.
– We distance ourselves from all incitement and racial hatred, and incitement against free love. But when Durek plays the “I’m black – therefore – card”, also known as the “race card”, then we have to speak up, said Raja – and also made the following statement:
– It is all his statements as a shaman, among other things, about cancer and Norwegian women’s sex lives, that weaken his credibility.

Märtha and Durek are obviously not satisfied with the views in The VG article.
“Again someone’s opinion”, write Märtha and Durek in their correspondence with Wikipedia.
Here are the points the couple will change
Dishes on the crown prince
In their fight against Wikipedia, they will also have something done about the statements Crown Prince Haakon (50) gave to NRK in October 2022.
Here, Märtha Louise’s little brother tells about difficult trade-offs between feelings and family relationships on the one hand – and consideration for the monarchy on the other.
NOT SATISFIED: Durek and Märtha are not satisfied with how Wikipedia portrays Crown Prince Haakon’s statement on Durek’s Wikipedia page. Here is Haakon together with Crown Princess Mette-Marit and Queen Sonja at the event “Samlede tråder” last week. Photo: NTB Show more
– This is a topic that I think is a bit difficult, admitted Crown Prince Haakon i The NRK interview.
For Wikipedia, Märtha Louise feels the need to specify what the crown prince really meant.
“He meant that Durek does not understand all Norwegian because he is an American. And this cultural difference is difficult to understand,” the couple wrote to the online textbook giant.
The wedding dress revealed?
Must be refuted
From Wikipedia’s legal department, Märtha and Durek are said to have received an answer that the information about them was obtained from large, international media houses. If the couple is to manage to get something changed, the information must first be changed or refuted by the editors who brought them to the fore.
Se og Hør has asked questions to both VG’s ethics editor Anders Sooth Knutsen and Abid Raja about what they think about Märtha and Durek wanting to remove information based on their articles and views, but have so far not received an answer.

Stop commenting
Princess Märtha Louise has also had the opportunity to speak out several times through her spokesperson, Carina Scheele Carlsen, but from that point of view it is silent. And it will probably remain that way in the future, we are to believe Märtha and Durek’s latest act on Instagram on Thursday morning.
This happens when both are gone
“We know that parts of the press will tell lies about us as the wedding approaches. As we prepare for the big day, we are dedicated to taking care of each other. We have therefore decided that from today onwards we will not comment on any of what the press hurls at us”, wrote the couple.
