USU Public Relations – The Association of Young Indonesian Higher Education Entrepreneurs (HIPMI PT) University of North Sumatra (USU) held the inauguration of the management for the 2023-2024 service period in the Prof. Hall. Dr. Suhadji Hadibroto Faculty of Economics and Business, on Saturday (23/03/24). The inauguration was carried out directly by the General Chairperson of HIPMI PT North Sumatra, M. Rizqi Sukarno.
In his remarks, the Dean of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), Dr. Hatta Ridho, S.Sos., MSP said that innovation is very necessary in a business, because currently there is a lot of deindustrialization which has an impact on the rise in unemployment. He also said that USU provides facilities and infrastructure for innovation in the form of an Entrepreneur Center in collaboration with the Medan City Government (Pemko).

The General Chairperson of HIPMI PT SUMUT said that the focus of HIPMI is to have a big positive impact on the campus and become an incubator for students who want to become entrepreneurs.
“The entrepreneurial spirit of PT USU’s HIPMI friends must be increased again, so as not to have a negative impact on the campus,” said M. Rizqi
Chair of the PT USU HIPMI Inauguration Committee, Arif Adriansyah, said that 77 students from various majors would be inaugurated this time. Arif also said that HIPMI PT USU was committed to being a driving force for the entire association and supporting MSMEs who wanted to be involved in activities at USU, especially in the field of entrepreneurship.
This is in line with what was conveyed by the recently inaugurated General Chair of PT USU’s HIPMI, Mufti Ramadan, that PT USU’s HIPMI aspires to produce programs that can represent the tri dharma of higher education.
“We at HIPMI PT USU aspire to produce HIPMI PT USU programs that can represent the tri dharma of higher education,” said Mufti.
