At the same time, the board is trying to reach an agreement with Uruguayan Paulo Pezzolano for the position, as reported by the report. Currently at Real Valladolid, in Spain, Paulo Pezzolano had the intention of fulfilling his contract in Europe — the commitment ends on June 30, 2024. However, the current owner of the Spanish team, Ronaldo Fenômeno, has already demonstrated his desire to negotiate the club. Therefore, the coach is willing to return to Brazil, where he was successful with Cruzeiro in 2022, winning Series B of the Brazilian Championship.
Conversations with the Uruguayan are led by Vasco’s football director, Pedro Martins, hired last week.
