An earthquake with a magnitude (M) of 4.2 in Bandung Regency. The epicenter of the earthquake was on land. “The epicenter of the earthquake was on land 20 km southeast of Bandung Regency and this earthquake was felt and transmitted to the community.” wrote BMKG (Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency) via its official website, 01 May 2024.

The earthquake occurred at 03:06:10. The earthquake was at a depth of 4.0 kilometers and had no potential for a tsunami. Meanwhile, the coordinates of the earthquake were at 7.20 South Latitude (South Latitude) and 107.57 East Longitude (East Longitude).

The earthquake was felt on the MMI scale in the Majalaya, Cibereum, Pangalengan, Garut and Soreang areas with scales III, III, III, III and II. The MMI scale felt was III, which means the earthquake was felt by several people, but did not cause damage or accidents. The light objects hanging swayed and the glass windows shook.
