Riots in Peru against the high cost of living, President Castillo orders a curfew

Protest explodes in Peru already afflicted by a political crisis that is turning on itself. President Pedro Castillo decrees a curfew across the country from 2am this morning, Tuesday April 5, until 11.59pm. Circulation is prohibited, even on foot. Closed offices, schools, shops and supermarkets, banks and administrative offices. Even Parliament had to close its doors, all activities suspended.
