Russia, Chief Rabbi to Putin: “Do everything for peace”

MOSCOW – On the eve of the commemorations of the liberation of Auschwitz Nazi camp for the first time without representatives of the “Russian liberators”, the Russian President Vladimir Putin met the Chief Rabbi of the Russian Federation in Moscow Berel Lazar and the president of the Federation of Jewish Communities of Russia Alexander Barada.

“We are ready to do whatever it takes to find peaceful solutions,” Lazar said, alluding to the conflict in Ukraine.
