Tel Aviv, 4 May. (beraking latest news) – Far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir launches a new threat to leave the government, while talks in Cairo on a truce agreement and hostages appear to have entered a critical phase. The Times of Israel writes it.
In a statement, Ben Gvir welcomes Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s decision for not sending a delegation to Cairo and says he expects the prime minister to keep the promises he allegedly made when the two met last week: “No to an agreement reckless, yes to Rafah. The prime minister knows well what the price will be to pay if this commitment is not honored,” adds Ben Gvir.
In a similar statement, the Israeli newspaper reports, Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich states that “a surrender agreement that will lead to the end of the war without a total victory is a disaster. Rafah now.”
