The former captain of Sarajevo, Samir Radovac, joined the ranks of the Bordeaux team’s biggest rival.
The 27-year-old midfielder signed for Željezničar, where he will stay until the summer of next year.
“I’m glad I came. We all know where I grew up, where I played, but I am a professional and I hope that I will contribute to the club with my commitment and effort. “Zeljo is a huge club and I hope we will fulfill our goals this season,” said Radovac for the club’s official website.
He started his career in Sarajevo, and then played for Olimpik, Greek PAS Janina. Mostar’s Velež, Novi Pazar, and Greek Iliopolis, from where it comes to Grbavica.
“I was in Greece until the end of last year, there was only a three-day break and I’m in pretty good physical shape, and of course I’ve been working privately until now. Today I will join training with the team and I hope to be in even better physical shape by the start of the season,” said Radovac, who after a medical examination and signing the contract traveled to Međugorje where the Željezničar team is preparing for the second part of the season.
