More than 20 firefighter units are responding to a fire in a building located on the first block of Lima Street, in the San Miguel district.
A report from Canal N showed how a huge column of toxic smoke can be seen from the top of other buildings, even located several blocks away.
Social media users, who live near the place where the incident occurred, claim that some explosions have been heard.

RPP indicates that the fire would take place in a warehouse of chemical supplies and cleaning products. One person has been injured, according to Carlos Tineo, citizen security manager of San Miguel.

Firefighters are already on the scene attending to the emergency. Meanwhile, police officers also arrived at the accident area to control order and facilitate the work of fire personnel.
The families living in the homes surrounding the damaged property have been evacuated for safety reasons.

Firefighters try to put out the flames by throwing water from a telescopic ladder. Units from San Miguel, Magdalena del Mar, Callao and Lima arrived at the scene.
