The Trentino company Moiola, founded in Arco (TN) in 1964, began the year by renewing its fleet with 18 500 HP Super Scanias, taking a further important step towards reducing climate-altering emissions and increasing the efficiency of vehicle fleet.
The new vehicles will join tractors and semi-trailers, intended for national and international transport missions, mainly of groupage and products from the steel industry. Equipped with an S cab, these new Scanias will offer a large, comfortable and functional space for drivers to drive and rest.
“Our company has focused, especially in recent years, on the rapid generational turnover of vehicles, our tractors and semi-trailers are replaced on average every three years, to keep up with the times and avoid problems due to normal wear and tear over time. For Scania, customers’ need for better total operating economy goes hand in hand with that of a sustainable future, achievable thanks to tailor-made, efficient and clean transport solutions. The Super, the result of an investment of 2 billion euros in research and development, offers a thermal efficiency of 50% and a fuel saving of well over 8% which translates into a considerable reduction in CO2 released into the environment . Furthermore, the greater uptime and optimization of maintenance intervals make the Super the most reliable and profitable solution that will contribute to achieving certain carbon footprint reduction objectives in the transport sector.
In particular, for the first time in 30 years Moiola relies on Scania, equipping itself with a complete solution: the vehicles will be covered by a FULL assistance contract, a formula that provides fixed management costs and the guarantee of complete coverage, which allows you to eliminate every thought. Furthermore, the purchase of the vehicles was planned with Scania’s finance company in order to be able to integrate the investment based on the specific needs of the company and tax regulations.
