Schraml Distillery invites you to the German Whiskey Festival

For the third year in a row, the Association of German Whiskey Distillers will be hosting a German Whiskey Festival on May 3rd and 4th. After two editions at Scharfenstein Castle near Leinefelde in Thuringia, this time the Schraml distillery in Erbendorf in Bavaria, known for its Stonewood Whiskey, will be the venue for the event. Nearly 30 distillers are expected to present their products, including any new products, at stands for tasting and sale. Various tastings, master classes and lectures are also on the agenda. There will also be a BBQ, a coffee bar and an open-air cigar lounge, among other things. A whiskey and white sausage breakfast will be held on Saturday, May 4th. Music with a Bavarian touch will also be provided.

“Our goal is to be able to present the high level of our craftsmanship to whiskey fans from all over Germany in a relaxed atmosphere. We want our guests to feel comfortable and spend an eventful day with us. We at Stonewood see ourselves as having a responsibility for the association, after all we are a founding member.”says Gregor Schraml, owner of the Schraml distillery. “But we people from Upper Palatinate always like to go our own way, and that’s why the whiskey festival will also have our own Bavarian signature.”

For the first time, the Association of German Whiskey Distillers and the Whisky Guide Deutschland the German Whiskey Awards are presented. The announcement of the best German whiskey distilleries, whiskey bars, whiskey shops and the best German whiskeys will take place on Friday, May 3rd as part of the festival.
