Thanks to the Territorial Control Plan and the emergency regime, agents of the National Civil Police (PNC) managed to capture Josué Antonio Mata Tovar, alias “Scooby”, a palabrero with an extensive criminal record from the 18 Sureños gang who gave orders to murder people in the department of La Libertad.

According to the PNC, Mata Tovar had a criminal record since 2009 for the crimes of attempted homicide, deprivation of liberty, illicit groups, resistance and public disorder, among others.

His arrest was possible on the main street of the Los Girasoles neighborhood, in the municipality of Zaragoza, in La Libertad, where he had frightened the locals.

Alias “Scooby”, will be placed under the command of the Attorney General’s Office (FGR) and then sent to the Terrorism Confinement Center (CECOT), where he will have to serve a sentence for all the crimes he has committed.

“With the war against the gangs, every terrorist will be sent to prison,” is the motto of the authorities that make up the public security cabinet and for which they work daily to put antisocials who have pending accounts with justice in prison.
