Harianjogja.com, JOGJA—The results of the Italian League match between Genoa vs Lazio ended with a score of 0-1 at the Luigi Ferraris Stadium, Genoa, Saturday (20/4/2024) early morning. Luis Alberto led Lazio to beat Genoa 1-0 after using Daichi Kamada’s pass in the second half.

This victory made Lazio temporarily climb to fifth place in the Italian League standings with 52 points from 33 matches, while Genoa was stuck in 12th position with 39 points.

Lazio excelled in ball possession with 61 percent, but were only able to shoot one shot on target which resulted in a goal. Genoa had the first chance through striker Calub Ekuban’s shot which went sideways from Lazio’s goal.

Genoa got another chance from Mateo Retegui’s kick which was also sideways from the Lazio goal guarded by Christos Mandas. Alberto Gilardino’s squad created a golden opportunity through Ekuban’s acrobatic kick but it was countered by Mandas.

In the second half, Lazio took the initiative to attack and got a chance through Daichi Kamada’s kick which deviated from Genoa’s goal.

Lazio finally broke the deadlock through Luis Alberto’s right-footed shot after using Kamada’s pass in the 67th minute.

Trailing by one goal, Genoa tried to equalize, one of which was through Retegui’s long-range kick which was saved by Mandas. Genoa continued to pound Lazio, but until the final whistle sounded the score was 1-0 for Igor Tudor’s squad.
