Selangor CEO is worried about Faisal Halim’s mental condition

Jakarta (ANTARA) –

Selangor CEO Johan Kamal Hamidon is worried about Faisal Halim’s mental condition, after the club star suffered an acid attack last weekend.

As a result of the attack, the player nicknamed “Mickey” suffered fourth-degree burns and required several operations.

“Treatment is being carried out, maybe one or two more operations that need to be undertaken. So the focus for now is acute, stabilizing. But in terms of physical condition in five or six months, as well as mental, what is more important is mental. “The trauma needs to be tested again later, analyzed again,” said Johan when met in Jakarta, Wednesday.

Johan is in Indonesia to attend meetings ahead of the RCTI Premium Sports international friendly competition, which will be participated by Selangor, Sabah, Persija Jakarta and PSIS Semarang at the end of May.

Faisal is a Malaysian national team player who has played for the Harimau Malaya team 29 times. At the age of 26 as a football player, Johan believes that the problems Faisal is experiencing are not only detrimental to his team, but also the Malaysian national team and Southeast Asian football.

“Just like the Indonesian players who play at the Southeast Asian level, we also feel that they are the pride of Malaysia and Southeast Asia. “He can also play at Asian level, like Witan (Sulaeman) and Pratama (Arhan),” said Johan.

It is known that Johan also received threats that he would be the next target of an acid attack. However, he said he had reported the threat to the police, and the club had also tightened its security system.

The situation of Malaysian football has been hit by several problems recently. Apart from the acid case against Faisal, last Thursday (2/5), Terengganu and Malaysian national team player Akhyar Rashid was robbed near his residence, in Kuala Terengganu.
