A woman from Upper Franconia became seriously ill after a corona vaccination. The manufacturer AstraZeneca should now comment on this in court.
Frankfurt – Since the beginning of the corona pandemic, some people have complained about illnesses and damage after vaccinations. At that time, AstraZeneca was one of the first manufacturers to provide a corona vaccine.
Sick after vaccination: AstraZeneca has to answer in court
At the beginning of the corona pandemic, many people in Germany were vaccinated with the “Vaxzevria” vaccine from the manufacturer AstraZeneca. The manufacturer must now comment on the side effects before a civil chamber of the Bamberg Higher Regional Court (OLG). It is one of the first civil lawsuits against a corona vaccine manufacturer in Germany. This should make it clear to the court what harmful effects the vaccine can have.

The 33-year-old plaintiff at the Bamberg Higher Regional Court had already been vaccinated with the AstraZeneca vaccine in March 2021. As a result, she suffered an intestinal vein thrombosis traceable to the vaccination could be. She had to be put into a coma and have part of her intestines removed. Since then, the plaintiff has been trying to obtain compensation and damages from the British-Swedish company. Another woman is also suing Biontech due to alleged vaccine damage.
AstraZeneca admits possible serious side effects after vaccination
The British Magazine The Telegraph now reported that AstraZeneca had admitted possible side effects. According to court documents, the Vaxzevria vaccine can cause rare blood clotting side effects. AstraZeneca admitted the side effects at the London High Court, where the company has to answer a class action lawsuit. “In very rare cases it can cause TTS” quoted The Telegraph the court document.
