Sierra Leone, a fuel tank explodes: 91 dead

by admin

FREETOWN – Ninety-one people were killed yesterday in the capital of Sierra Leone Freetown in the explosion of a tanker full of fuel after a collision.

Most of the victims died as they attempted to collect the fuel that leaked after the accident from the damaged truck.

Images circulated online show the burned bodies of the victims along the way. “We will do everything to support the families of the dead,” the city authorities said.
