A twin-engine B200 King Air plane has been reported missing since 4 pm on Thursday in the South of the Lake. The plane took off from Maracaibo and was heading to Porlamar with eight passengers on board. According to a source speaking to NTN24, the accident was caused by bad weather, and the pilot attempted to navigate around a storm without success.
Authorities were alerted to the disappearance of the plane around 8 p.m. and initiated a search and rescue mission. The report stated, “SAR rescue, search and rescue, activated by emergency (INCERFA) in KING 200 AIR Aircraft, YV-3296 with Eight (08) people on board.”
The individuals on board the aircraft include Pilot Bernardo Azúcar, Federico Walter, German Walter, Mia Walter, Paula Homer, German Walter, Laura Prieto, and Hilda Rincón.
The investigation into the missing plane is ongoing, and rescue teams are actively searching for any sign of the aircraft and its occupants.
