Snow Man’s Ren Meguro has been appointed as FENDI’s Japan brand ambassador. A press conference commemorating this was held today, February 1st, at Palazzo Fendi Omotesando in Tokyo.

Meguro participated in Silvia Venturini Fendi’s “2024-25 Fall/Winter Men’s Collection” held in Milan, Italy last month. FENDI, which will celebrate its 100th anniversary next year, explained the reason for hiring Meguro: “In addition to Meguro’s free and playful personality, he is confident, dynamic, and has a professional attitude that takes on challenges with conviction, strength, and determination.” It embodies the image.” Meguro will be the first time a Japanese man will serve as FENDI’s Japan brand ambassador.

Meguro appeared wearing a jacquard set and sleeveless shirt from FENDI’s latest collection. Regarding this coordination, he said, “It has a distinctive FENDI design.I’m wearing an apron-like shirt inside, and it’s a FENDI look that respects craftsmen, so I’m excited to wear it.” .

After signing the Japan Brand Ambassador paperwork with a nervous look on his face, Meguro spoke about his current state of mind, saying, “FENDI is a brand that I have a lot of feelings for, so I got goosebumps when I signed it.I never expected a day like this to come.” I wasn’t expecting that, so I’m really happy!” he said with a boyish smile.

When asked what he likes about the brand, he answered that Meguro is suitable for any situation. The reason for this is: “I like that they have a wide range of items, from casual items to items you’d want to go to a party with.Actually, the first time I bought high-end clothes was from FENDI. You might be thinking, ‘Is that it?’ (laughs),” he explained.

A special video commemorating Meguro’s appointment as ambassador will be released on YouTube today. Regarding the filming of this video, Meguro said, “While we were filming in Rome, I happened to meet Silvia Fendi by chance, and I said hello to her.At that time, I said, “Next time, I’ll be in Milan.” I hadn’t decided to go to Milan at that time, so I was happy to be able to meet him again in January of this year,” he says, looking back on his encounter with Silvia. Also, since February 14th is coming up, Meguro was asked what item he would like to give his loved one as a present on Valentine’s Day, and he answered, “I would like to give a Peekaboo or a FENDI bag as a present…but it’s difficult because there are so many.Oh, next time. The new tumbler might also be a good idea.”

At the press conference, Meguro, who will celebrate her 27th birthday on February 16th, was given a gold-colored necklace by FENDI as a surprise present. Meguro said with wide eyes, “It’s really a surprise!” and about the 27-year-old’s aspirations, “I hope I can live a life with no regrets in my private life or work, and I can make my fans smile more than last year.” I want to do my best,” he declared.

Lastly, he addressed FENDI fans and said, “When we see finished products in stores, it’s hard to imagine the background, but creating a single product requires many meetings. I think it would be great if we could communicate this in a way that lets people know about that background,” he concluded the press conference.
