His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Porfirije mentioned originally of the session of the Holy Council of Bishops of the Serbian Orthodox Church that ultimately the doorways of the Patriarchate of Peć, the place this assembly was not held because of the ban of Pristina, shall be open to everybody.

At the tip of the liturgy within the Church of St. Sava in Vračar, which marked the start of the session of the Council, Patriarch Porfirije reminded that the Pristina authorities didn’t permit him and the bishops to assemble within the Patriarchate of Pec, so the Council was opened with a liturgy within the Church of St. Sava in Belgrade.
“There isn’t any defeat in Christ. With his resurrection, exhibiting his love for us and the individuals for his Church, he confirmed and confirmed that each victory is in him. That is why we’re certain that the doorways of the Patriarchate of Peć, ultimately, based on God’s plan, will open , not just for us, but in addition for each individual,” emphasised Patriarch Pofirije.
The Serbian patriarch said that the archbishops of the SPC gathered as we speak in love, unity and mutual understanding, as a way to do what’s greatest for the individuals.

At the tip of the liturgy, the bishops invoked the Holy Spirit and held a solemn assembly within the crypt of the Church of Saint Sava, Belgrade media reported.
The Assembly was supposed to begin as we speak within the Patriarchate of Pec with a liturgy and a proper session of the bishops, however yesterday the Pristina authorities on the Merdare crossing barred Patriarch Porfiria and 7 archbishops of the Serbian Orthodox Church from coming into the territory of Kosovo and Metohija, as a way to attend the ceremonial begin of the work of the Assembly within the Patriarchate of Pec.
The working a part of the Parliament will begin tomorrow within the crypt of the Church of Saint Sava.
