The 41-year-old “One Three Hill” star says that she has fallen in love with former American national team player Ashlyn Harris (38).

In a text she has written for the magazine Glamourthe actress opens up about the reason she and Grant Hughes split last year after just 13 months of marriage.
The actor also says that she has fallen in love with Ashlyn Harris.
Harris is a former soccer player, and has, among other things, played for the American national team. She was previously married to teammate Ali Krieger.

– I kind of hate that I have to “come out of the closet” in 2024. But I am very aware that we are having these conversations in a year where we see the most aggressive attacks on LGTB+Lesbians, gays, bisexuals, transgenders and queers. -society in modern history, writes Bush in Glamour.
She says that she has known Harris for four years, and that they were “just” friends for a long time.
– I am so lucky that I am where I am now. I know true joy. It took me 41 years to get here.
Opening up about the divorce
Bush says that she got cold feet before her wedding day with Grant Hughes, but that she told herself that relationships are difficult and that marriage involves compromises, writes CNN.

In the end, there were major challenges in the process of trying to have children that broke the marriage, she says, and writes that she felt alone.
– I think I knew deep down that I had definitely made a mistake.
Her ex-husband Grant Hughes has not commented on the case.

Bush says that she found support in the environment of Ashlyn Harris after the divorce.
She wants to talk about the love because last year several states in the USA proposed laws that she refers to as “anti-LGBT+”.

– Because of that, I want to give it the respect and honor it deserves. I have experienced so much security, respect and love in the queer environment throughout my life, as an ally. When I became part of it myself, I already felt that it was my home, she writes.

– I think I’ve always known that my sexuality is on a kind of spectrum. Right now, the word that best describes it is queer. I can’t say that without smiling, and it feels really good.
Ashlyn Harris has not commented on the case, but she has shared a photo of Sophia Bush on the cover of Glamour on his Instagram Storywhere she writes “proud of you, babe”.
Bush was previously married to “One Tree Hill” colleague Chad Michael Murray (40). The marriage ended in divorce after five months in 2005.
