South Korea: Pyongyang throws an unidentified bullet

by admin

The Korea Northern fired an unidentified bullet into the sea. This was announced by the South Korean army, and it would be the first test of its kind carried out by Pyongyang in 2022. The bullet was fired into the sea east of the peninsula, announced the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Korea of the South in a statement, without giving further details. In 2021, the Korea of the North announced it had successfully tested a new type of submarine-launched ballistic missile, a long-range cruise missile, a train-launched weapon and what it said was a hypersonic warhead. The new test comes after Pyongyang did not respond to Washington’s offer to meet with US officials to negotiate. In an important meeting of the ruling party last week, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un affirmed his willingness to strengthen his country’s military capabilities despite being under international sanctions. Negotiations with the United States have stalled since Kim Jong Un’s failed meeting with then US President Donald Trump in 2019.
