Norbert Feher, also known as Igor ‘the Russian’, attempted to injure an official of the Duenas prison, where he is being held, by hitting him with two tiles taken from the bathroom of the cell and sent five prison workers to the hospital to avoid be transferred to Zuera (Zaragoza) where the trial for the triple homicide committed in the Teruel area in December 2017 begins tomorrow.
The attack by the killer is reported by the information site Lacomarca.net. Feher, a 40-year-old Serb, was arrested in Spain after an eight-month inaction, after the two murders committed on 1 and 8 April in the provinces of Bologna and Ferrara, for which he was sentenced to life imprisonment on appeal . Before being taken, he killed two officers of the Guardia Civil and a farmer in Spain. Also in Spain he seriously injured two other people, a crime for which he has already been tried and sentenced to 21 years. The Comarca says that the five attacked were taken to hospital with injuries of varying degrees, none of them serious. When they arrived at the cell to transfer him, Igor allegedly said he wanted to “take away” whoever entered the room. To protect himself, he wore ‘armor’, various clothes on top of each other and magazines under his clothes. Eventually the prison staff managed to take him to where a special unit of the Guardia Civil was waiting for him to be transferred.
