Sporting faced difficulties, but regained the lead in the Portuguese Championship. This Friday (29), Leão visited Estrela Amadora and won 2-1, coming from behind, and returned to the top of the table. Leonel Bucca opened the scoring for the home team, while João Fernandes and Nuno Santos scored the winning goals for the Lisbon club in this 27th round of the competition. All goals were scored in the first half.
In this way, Sporting reached 68 points and resumed the lead over the Portuguese. The advantage for vice-leader Benfica, who also won in this 27th round, is one point. However, Leão has one game less than its rival and can increase the difference to four points.
On the other hand, Estrela Amadora lost again after two rounds and remains in the fight to remain in the elite of Portuguese football. The team is in 13th place, with 26 points, just three points ahead of Portimonense, the first club within the relegation zone.
